After four years, 2010 will again see Italy organise the European Brown Swiss Championships for adult livestock with the patronage of the European Swiss Brown Cow Federation. Bruna2010 will host important technical and comparative meetings and will be a major showcase for technicians and breeders from all over the world for the results achieved in Europe by the Swiss Brown Cow, through livestock of extremely high prestige conducted by supremely professional breeders.
More than 200 head of cattle are envisaged. The European Brown Swiss Championship will involve cattle of immense morphological and genetic value from avant-garde countries in terms of animal selection governed by respective national Pedigree Registers.
The main awards at the European Brown Swiss Championship envisage the "Senior Champion Female", "The Best Udder", the "Honourable Mention", "The Milk Quality Award" and the "International Contest". An innovation at the 2010 edition is the "European Young Contest", the competition involving young Europeans in grooming, conduct and morphological assessment competitions.
